Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.14 Mojave compatible. Includes Windows Screenwriter 6.0 & Mac Screenwriter 6.5. The Mac version is NOT OSX 10.15 Catalina or OS 11 Big Sur-compatible, though this purchase includes a free update to a compatible version when it becomes available, and we are in active Alpha testing now. We are happy to report that the Alpha version of Screenwriter 6.7 is compatible. After 15 years, Apple will again transition the Mac to a new architecture. The company announced at its developer conference today that it will introduce Macs featuring Apple-designed, ARM-based processors similar to those already used in the iPhone and iPad.From a report: Tim Cook pegged this switch as one of the four biggest transitions the mac has ever had.
For example, these do not work:
- feeds.howsound.org/HowSound
- Http://feeds.howsound.org/HowSound

That goes beyond being counter-intuitive and borders on 'user-hostile.'
Too bad the app itself is as buggy as a back woods campout. All of the nice features won't mean squat if the app can't stay functional.
Yea, it's pretty bad, isn't it?

Is this THE buggiest first release Apple has ever put out? It's definitely the buggiest one I've ever used.

It's good to know how to get it to work. Now, if they'll just get the application itself to work properly, we may be in business!
I like the idea of a simple podcast app - but when simple stuff like jumping forward 30 seconds can freeze the app for an indeterminate length of time, there's something wrong. This is just an mp3 player.. it really shouldn't require any significant resources.
Actually, I just tried this on my iPhone 3Gs and it doesn't work - at least for local podcasts.
I have a couple radio shows that I record off the internet and have a perl script that builds a simple rss feed out of the recordings. iTunes handles this feed just fine, but the Podcast app just comes back with 'no matches' and gives no option to subscribe to it.
I'm following the instructions to the letter; have entered the URL starting with http://, and everything is lower case (per some comments). I tried it both using the .local address and the raw 192.168 address for the domain part of the URL.

I really tried to give the Podcasts app a full run for over a week; and I just yesterday switched back to Instacast. It's just way too buggy, slow, and perplexing to use. I really like this feature of adding via URL in the search bar, but getting to that search bar took an enormous amount of time.
Granted I stil have an iPhone 4 (not the 4S), but when I reloaded Instacast it was like a breath of fresh air upon seeing how much faster it was. I want to love the Podcasts app, but I guess we'll have to wait for another iteration before relying on it. Worthless mac os.

I've been really happy with my iOS Podcaster - RSS Player Podcast Client. It's a $1.99 paid App, and has been one of the best sources of mobile streaming music ever.
It supports over-the-air podcasts from the phone without syncing with iTunes.
Plus, it's been solid with streaming music since Edge Network and iPhone 1G. Somehow my older version, it still works in iOS 5?
I don't work for Alex Sokirynsky This Developer : But I continued to be impressed. He's put out one of the finest apps when it comes to driving around and streaming audio. Lilke I said, 2008/2009 and still going strong.
it's Podcaster 5 now. In the App Store
